Lyrics
I woke up five times last night
Couldn’t sleep, amped up tight
Everything we worked for, all we’ve done
Going live today, yeah it’s on
Been counting the days since April first
No joke, gonna make me burst
I can’t lay still, counting sheep
I should really be asleep
But it’s Release Day
Gonna set it free
Beta’s all done
Game is wired for fun
Glad we’re locked on invincible
Some of them were tough as nails
I’m so nervous, so hyped
They’re excited to play it live
My belly is in knots
Got distracting thoughts
Can’t concentrate, ain’t it rich?
Want this launch without a hitch
But it’s Release Day
Gonna set it free
Beta’s all done
Game is wired for fun
We’ve done the press and interviews
PC Gamer cover, great reviews
Watching the hype take form
Like an Energy power storm
Don’t want to give away secrets
No loose lips, itchy fingertips
All of us trained up in PR
Watched every word, no leaks so far
Yeah it’s Release Day
Gonna set it free
Beta’s all done
Game is wired for fun
Ten minutes till we’re go
I’m just about to blow
Palms are sweaty, nearing green light
Standing by for flight
Hope it’s solid, no major issues
Or we’re gonna be sobbing in tissues
Please no crashes, memory bugs today
That kind of launch won’t fly today
Yeah it’s Release Day
Gonna set it free today
Beta’s all done
Game is wired for fun
Finally it’s time
Players are online
It’s happening now
Can’t believe it, wow
Yeah it’s real
Can’t even describe how I feel
Today’s the day, my dear
Best one of my career
I feel so dang proud
We’re celebrating out loud
Yeah it’s Release Day
Gonna set it free today
Beta’s all done
Game is wired for fun
It’s release day
Yeah it’s release day
Today’s the day
It’s release day, yeah
