This device has saved my bacon.

I hated cleaning the cat fountain. Buying filters and charcoal, taking the whole thing apart, and somehow even the stainless steel ended up with that weird hard calcium buildup anyway. No thanks.
I’ve always wanted running water for my cats, so when I saw AquaPurr, I was instantly intrigued.
My old cat, Miko, would whine until you turned on the faucet for him. Remi would just sit in the sink and wait for someone to get the hint.
AquaPurr solved three problems at once: fresh running water for my cat, no more cat fountain to scrub, and no more replacement filters to buy.
It’s motion activated. With our setup, if Remi gets anywhere near it, the water runs for a few seconds. If he stays close enough, it keeps running while he’s there. He can get fresh water whenever he wants, and I don’t have a crying cat at 3 a.m. asking me to turn on the faucet.
I LOVE this thing. Remi LOVES this thing.
And it’s simple to switch between “cat fountain” and “Mama needs to wash her face for reals.” Just flip the lever and you’re good to go.
A little research before you buy, though. Check which setup you want and whether it’ll work with your faucet. I went with the electrically powered version. I also had to replace our faucet because the one that came with the house didn’t have the threads needed to connect it. Better to figure that out before you’re standing in the bathroom with your new gadget.
We originally had it in the guest bathroom, but moved it to our bathroom so guests wouldn’t have to figure it out. Remi knows how it works. Visitors shouldn’t need a tutorial.
Otherwise? It’s a dream. I’ll probably buy another as a backup.
